Hydrosol is a resulting product from the process of distilling essential oil. After distillation, two products remain: the essential oil: containing the oil soluble constituents of the plant; & the condensate water (hydrosol): which contains the water-soluble constituents along with a small amount of microscopic essential oil droplets which remain permanently dispersed. Containing therapeutic qualities similar to that of the essential oil_ but softer & somewhat sweeter in scent; & far less concentrated.
